ABOUT

Hi there! My name is Fatma, I’m 30 years old and I live in the Netherlands! On this page I explain FY STUDIO’s philosophy and my way of working.

I have, and always had, great passion for the visual art, written word and the symphony. Writing, singing, dancing, taking pictures, listening to music and having meaningful conversations are what pleasures me to the point that it inspires my soul to leave a positive notion to this world by sharing my work.

I am, according to my Human Design, a Projector. This means that I have a sensitive nature that connects deeply on an energetic level to my surroundings. I like to use this sensitivity into my creative endeavours, and therefore I work best when I create freely and intuitively. Basically, I sense in my body and soul what is beautiful and at the same time what is in tune with the assignment that is given. (Here you can read more about Human Design).

I believe that stories connect us in a profound way: we’re able to relate, understand and inspire one and another. What is a better way to achieve this than sharing our stories through art? I translate stories to remarkable content that makes you feel something.

Stimulating the senses and emotions are my main focus. Mother Earth is my biggest inspiration, therefore I like to work with the elements earth, fire, air and water such as plants, crystals, fabric, light, shadow, smoke and many more.

Like an alchemist who turns metal into gold, I turn your story into an exquisite photograph or videograph.

I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.
